*LONG READ AHEAD – IMPORTANT INFO FOR TRAINING

Hey everyone, our first training session will be Sunday 31 May from 10am to 12 midday. You MUST comment here if you want to attend this session so we can monitor the numbers and work out if a second session is necessary. Please read the following comments to ensure that we all do the right thing to keep us on the diamond and getting ready for a return to play.

DO NOT show up unless you have advised us you are attending. If you say you are attending, you MUST attend. Notify us as early as possible if something comes up and you can’t attend.

DO NOT train until you have registered on Sports TG. Its free at the moment. Bring your confirmation number with you as we need to keep a register of all attendees including name, phone number and Sports TG confirmation number.

DO NOT attend training if you have COVID symptoms or if you are otherwise ill, e.g. you have a cold or other contagious condition.

YOU MUST come to training dressed ready to go and only have to put your cleats on. Change rooms can only be used to access toilets. No gear bags to be stored in the change room either.

NO shared gear other than throwing balls. Bring all of your own gear to train.

WE CAN have 2 groups of 10 at training. Both groups must have the same people in them for the whole session and cannot change over at all. Both groups will do fielding work and batting work separately.

WE MUST use hand sanitiser before, during and after training. The club will have some available but feel free to bring your own provided it is 65% or more alcohol-based.

WE MUST maintain social distancing before, during and after training. This includes any spectators, but we ask that spectators are kept to minimum and do not go on the ground, otherwise they are deemed to be included in the 2 groups of ten and we will be over our player limit.

WE CANNOT use the canteen or social area, so please bring enough water with you for the 2 hour training session.

WE MUST maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all times. Wash hands regularly, dispose of tissues immediately, etc.etc. Common sense really.

If we get more than 20 people interested in this Sunday’s session, we will look at running 2 sessions, But at this stage it will just be the one, so let us know ASAP if you want to attend.

Showy will chat to everyone on Sunday to see who is interested in mid week training and on what days and we will let everyone know.

If you have any questions about any of the above, let me know. Cheers
